The RAID system IB-RD3621U3 offers space for 2 x 3.5 inch SATA hard drives. It can create a dual hardware RAID that can be used as mass storage or data backup. The RAID enclosure supports the four RAID levels 0 and 1 as well as SINGLE and LARGE, which are set by DIP switch on the back. The case is connected via USB 3.0 port, which allows data transfer rates of up to 5 Gbps can be achieved. The USB port of the RAID system supports UASP function. The enclosure is compatible with SATA I/II/III hard drives and allows SATA data transfer of up to 6 Gbps. To install the hard drives, the plastic housing is screwed on the back and the upper third of the outer case is removed upwards. The hard drives are now inserted vertically into the enclosure and secured with screws. On the back there is also a 60 x 60 x 11 mm fan that cools the hard drives. On the front there are LEDs that provide information about the current status of the RAID system. The RAID case also has a standby mode that adjusts to the connected PC or MAC. The different RAID levels offer different advantages and disadvantages. RAID 0 creates a single virtual drive that writes both hard drives in parallel. RAID 1 reflects all the data of a hard drive on the other. SINGLE provides both hard drives individually to the operating system - without special features. LARGE creates a single virtual drive where data is continuously written to both hard drives. Set contains: 1 x IB-RD3621, 1 x external power supply, 1 x USB 3.0 cable 10 cm (type B to type A), 1 x screw set, 1 x manual (English language not guaranteed).

Seemed to work well for about nine weeks, then lost two drives.Contacting the manufacturer support was relatively quick, but of no help with recovery.If your looking for a 2-bay plastic enclosure that can randomly trash perfectly working hard drives, losing all data and needing time consuming recovery, this is the one to get.However, if your looking for something reliable, save your money and look for an alternative.
